THE STORY The surname Buisson is intimately linked to the destiny of Saint-Romain, wine village since its origins. All, as far as we remember, have always worked the vine since 1758. It is Henri Buisson, a true pioneer, who will buy 5 hectares of vineyards and thus wrote the first page of family destiny, Installing as an independent winemaker in 1947, when Saint-Romaain received his AOC. This independence, this freedom, the field "Henri and Gilles Buisson" claims it since then, by practicing a culture of wines faithful to its deep values. Gilles, the son of Henri, and his wife Monica will continue the story in their own way. They will expand the vineyard that will reach 14 hectares in 2000. They will create a new cuverie and invest in wine-growing material. Thanks to them, the locomotive is running. They transmit to their children a powerful tool that will allow the two brothers to express themselves.   TODAY     Franck and Frederick Buisson, son of Gilles and grandsons of Henri, took over the torch in 2008, the passion of wines and their terroir inheritance. This land, they love it and rely on both to tell them in their bottles, make it known around the world and, first and foremost, respect it. Henri Buisson already, followed the "organic" currents of his time, in the 60s and 70s. Today, it is a vineyard of almost 20 hectares, certified "organic" since 2009, that the two brothers fully operate in biodynamics since this year. By putting scientific innovation at the heart of their concerns while respecting the natural pace of nature, Franck and Frédérick register the family estate at the heart of progress.

Protecting the ecosystem, monitor their carbon footprint, reflect and act globally, innovative and ecological in order to respect their environment, it is the commitment made Franck and Frédérick. Their approach goes up to the reflected selection of plugs, bottles and equipment.
The two brothers also made the choice to preserve the character and originality of each climate. A bias that requires the best accompanying each terroir so that it gives birth to a wine that resembles it and preserve this specificity by minimizing the interventions.

The taste of the terroir
During the vinifications, each wine is tasted daily for a very personalized follow-up. Through their different appellations, Franck and Frédérick draw a mosaic of singular flavors. Each of their wine is the faithful reflection of the climate where he was born.

Their pride: produce wines they love, who speak of their terroir and who, with their originality seduce palaces with various expectations and find an audience around the world. Today, the domain Henri & Gilles Buisson exports in about twenty countries and intends to continue to shine the climates of the vineyard Bourguignon.
